Government of India has conceived a massive investment plan for rail sector to eliminate capacity bottlenecks on Golden Quadrilateral and Diagonals to provide strategic rail communication links to ports, construction of mega bridges for improving communication to the hinterland and development of multi-modal transport corridors. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), is a Special Purpose Vehicle created to undertake project development, mobilization of financial resources and implement projects pertaining to strengthening of Golden Quadrilateral and Port Connectivity. It is the first major non-budgetary initiative for creating rail transport capacity ahead of demand and on a commercial format.
Qualification:
B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Electronics & Communication Engineering with valid GATE 2013 Score.
Emoluments:
The monthly remuneration of Site Engineer will be around Rs.27,000/-.
Mode of Application:
1) Candidates are required to fill up forms on-line on the RVNL website (www.rvn.org). Please see the relevant page under “Opportunity/Careers”.
2) Candidates are advised to go through the instructions carefully while filling up the form online to avoid errors/rejection.
3) The on-line facility will be open for a specified period/time(0000 hrs of 22/12/2013 to 2359 hrs of 29/12/2013). Interested candidates must fill up the form within this specified time period of 8 days.
4) Applications beyond or before the specified period will not be accepted.
5) No applications need to be sent by post. Applications if any sent by post will not be accepted.
Mode of Selection:
Mere applying for the post or possessing minimum qualification is no guarantee for an Interview Call. RVNL administration will decide short-listing of candidates for interview.
Candidates for the post of Site Engineers will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE 2013 Score which is valid from 15 March 2013 to 15 March 2014. Only GATE 2013 scores which is valid from 15 March 2013 to 14 March 2013 will be accepted. Earlier or later GATE scores are not acceptable. Candidates who are shortlisted for Interview would be required to produce their GATE 2013 Score Cards as proof of their score and would also be required to submit attested copies of their GATE Score cards as also their educational qualifications and those who are not able to produce the proof would not be admitted for Interview.
Date,Time & Place of Interview:
Interview of short-listed candidates will be held discipline-wise at Kolkata or at a place decided by RVNL tentatively during the first week of January 2014. Date/Time/Place of Interview will be published in the website of RVNL and the candidates advised about the same through SMS. Shortlisted candidates should report on time along with their original testimonials in support of the data mentioned in their application as per the schedule. Candidates should also note that their candidature is liable to be rejected at any point of time in the event of failure to produce the documentary proof in support of the data mentioned in their application form and in the event of any discrepancy found at the time of verification of the original documents.
Note:
VALID GATE 2013 SCORE refers to that GATE Score which is valid from 15 March 2013 to 14 March 2014 and candidates are required to use only this score in the application form.
